Hello, I was hoping I might get some assistance here as I am unable to send to FBA on an ASIN due to a “long term storage fee” error. It reads as follows:
“Units of this ASIN had pending Long-Term Storage Fee charges and were removed before the LTSF charge. Your ability to send in more units of this ASIN has been limited.” I have included a screenshot.
Case ID: 17786627131 (currently open), also for some reason a few extra that are closed despite being the same phone call, I was transferred on the phone call several times (17786722021, 17786648531, 17786801121)
I would very much like some assistance on this.
Last year, I had a batch of my private label FBA products that had a defect. I had to pull all the units off Amazon, fix them, and resell as FBM.
The removal orders did not go smoothly — it took over 6 months, more removal requests than I can count, and had over 13 support requests to Amazon over six months (which I have listed in my current Seller Support Case ID emails). I kept being told my units were in warehouses that “did not accept removal orders” and that Amazon was “working on it” and there was nothing else I could do. This also prevented me from sending in FBA units as I had stranded inventory due to the inability to remove. My first support request started August 2024 and my last one was March 2025. Around March is finally when my last units were removed from the warehouses. It was a very small number, about 5-10 total units causing this whole issue. In this time, my units began to accumulate long term storage fees.
I thought it was resolved, contacted my supplier, and made a new order of over 1000 units to send in FBA about two months ago. My units are ready to ship from China, and I tried to make FBA labels on May 22 of this year (over two weeks ago) and received an error that I had long term storage fee penalties since my items had been removed before the fee was paid, and it would be up to three months before the error was gone and I could send in more than a few units.
I called Amazon and they told me this was an error in the software on their part, and I should not be getting this error. They said they could remove the error but had to “forward it to the right team.” They also gave me conflicting dates on when the error would lift on its own.
It has been two weeks and I have called and emailed and chatted multiple times with no update. The freight fees keep going up by hundreds of dollars, my manufacturer is frustrated and asking when we can ship, I’ll be accumulating storage fees soon, and at this point I’m worried I’ll have to ship to a private warehouse and sell FBM. I just keep getting told the Amazon team is “working on it.”
I’ve tried making an entirely new SKU, new packing templates, everything but that does not help.
Can someone from Amazon help, or has anyone else figured out how to resolve this?
