Customer Centric Ethos - is there a problem?

So having experienced a recent issue with an Amazon courier, and knowing the ethos of the organisation is often stated as being determined by it’s ‘customer centric’ outlook, I was a little shocked to discover that according to Trustpilot, customer satisfaction with the organisation is now below 50%.
I don’t think a link is permitted, so Google will be your friend.

Should we all be increasingly concerned by this metric and it’s implications for us as MPS?

Their bubble may not have burst but there is certainly a definite slow leak !

Prepare for even more freebies given out to ‘buyers’ in their attempt to garner better reviews.

Remember, happy customers rarely leave a positive feedback; however unhappy customers will leave a negative feedback.
Don’t trust any online feedback system. Ever.

That being said, I still agree. I moved most of my (personal) purchases over to eBay. The Amazon search has become such a pain, it is virtually unusable. I can’t be bothered to browse to search result page 5 to find the match to my search term, when eBay has direct hits, plus being cheaper. Way to go Amazon.
And I won’t even start on the seller side of the story. Amazon is factor 5 of the “damn it” rate of alle other platforms. This can’t last much longer, I guess they will just implode.

Can’t remember the last time I used the search on Amazon, as a buyer. I use giggle and if the Amazon result does not take me straight to what I want, I move on to the next link on the giggle page.
