Brand Registry Problems
Hi,
So I’m trying to apply for brand registry for a trade mark that’s was registered a couple of years ago.
When I first applied the status was ‘ineligible’ as it was stated that the account had been involved in abusive contact, I appealed this as the account is in good standing and no such thing and received this email back:
"After carefully reviewing the information and documents, we have concluded that the brand is not abusive as per our policy. Therefore, the appeal is approved.
What is the next step?
Your Brand Registry application request has now been forwarded to the Brand Registry enrollment team for next steps in the enrollment process which will be communicated by email."
Great, or so I thought… then I receive and email stating that the brand registry application has been rejected as it is a design trade mark not a word. Email:
"Hello from Amazon Brand Registry Support,
The trademark type does not meet our eligibility criteria. Your trademark is a mark with no literal elements. We currently only accept text-based marks or image-based marks with words, letters or numbers.
The TM mark type is word in brand application whereas in TM website it is a design mark which is a mismatch."
The trade mark I’m trying to register is a text based mark and now when I try to reapply I’m getting the same message about it being ineligable because of abusive contact and having to appeal again!
Anyone have any advice or been through the same issue?

It’s odd that it was because of abuse but that was overturned but on the off chance - are all your EU etc sites in good standing ?
