Buyers Abusing Return Policy
I have received a returned branded purse (value £40) with missing item tags and a soiled and written on gift box which clearly cannot be re-sold new.
I have contacted seller support twice (including photographs) and I am told that the case is still being investigated with the relevant department but refund is due today.
I am deciding on the best way forward in this case. Are you allowed to charge a re-stocking fee for returns?. Any advise welcome.
Thank You in Advance.

There is no need to contact the Seller Support.
Whenever you receive back a materially different item than what you originally sent, you are within your rights to withold the cost of loss of value out of the refund.
In case of a potential A-Z claim, Amazon will cover the difference without debiting your account.
