Face to face help
I am very new to Amazon and struggling big time to create my first listing, I have no problem on other marketplaces. I am looking for some face to face tuition, I am based on the Notts, Lincs, leics border. Is there anyone out there that can help, or point me in the right direction to find help.
Thanks!

Have you looked at the seller university pages ?
Seller Central dashboard - resources - tutorials
Are you selling off your own second hand used goods or selling on here as a business ?

Do your items have barcodes on? Are you selling your own products or a brand that exists on Amazon already?

So are you planning to list them as generic or do you have brand registry / brand approval?

Are you planning on selling via FBA or FBM or both ?
There are big differences between the two.

Little_Shop’s questions are really just to ascertain that you do have the correct type of seller account, because Amazon, in their stupidity, named both a selling plan and an account type ‘Individual’, and there are MANY MANY new sellers sign up as Individual thinking that is correct because they are working on their own(sole-trader), and do not realise they also need to sign up with HMRC as self-employed.
Also confusing is that many new sellers assume that ‘Professional’ is the same as Business - it is not. Again Professional is just the name of the subscription selling plan, not the seller account type.
To be honest, that is probably one of the easiest parts of selling on Amazon, unless it is in a category where you need to get approval.

I would explore the add a product option from the drop down menu in seller central. It is in the inventory menu and contains a wealth of information which should be useful to you. Obviously you don’t need to actually add a product, but it will explain Amazon terms like “Asin” and “Sku” for example

For an account manager to take an interest you have to tie your question to something that they can make money from. So, “i want to register for X paid program but need to confirm i am correctly registered as a sole trader” or some variation may well get better results.
In any event, if you registered as a sole trader then it would show as such under account info>identity information.
