Account deactivated ( ASIN creation policy)

Hello everyone,

I recently merged my North America account with my UK seller account. The listing present in NA was duplicated to UK.

All of a sudden my UK account has been deactivated, I just received an email that there is ASIN creation policy violation. There is no clarity given on which ASINs have violation, on top of it my North America Account is also on hold and I am missing out on my sales.

I am unable to reach out for support to UK Team via call, only able to reach via mail and receiving a general reply every time with same template. Account health dashboard is also not showing any violations.

Please help me with what kind of evidence I submit that there is no ASIN creation violation when I dont have any concrete information. Most importantly why my (.com) account has been affected due to this. Please help.

It has been understood that your account has been deactivated because you created one or more ASIN variations that violate our ASIN Creation policies.

Did you make any changes in the product detail pages?

Selling partners may not change the product’s detail page (parent or child) to become fundamentally different from the original product listed.

Did you create any incorrect variations?

Selling partners may not add incorrect child variations that are not true variations of the parent product.

Please submit a detailed appeal as requested on the performance notification.

Hi Ash,

I have been trying desperately to reactivate my store, but I am receiving no help.

Firstly I started selling in US CA marketplaces and after I got confidence over time, I took initiative to start selling in other marketplaces. So the listings which were present in US, I simply duplicated in other marketplaces like UK Japan Saudi. At that time, all stores got activated. I started sending FBA shipments as well.

All of a sudden on May 8th I see notification that there has been violation of policy and hence all of my stores are deactivated. Listings got deleted from UK MP.

First - I am shocked that I got no prior notification that there might be asin creation policy violation and I have to take actions so that it can become compliant.

Second - NOT only UK STORE, US STORE is also deactivated. IT was up and running and all of a sudden stop on the store has impacted my business.

Third - I tried retrieving my account multiple times, going through every ASINs to check If I have done wrong on anything, submitted appeal twice. But I only received same response that appeal is denied with no more information. I currently dont know which ASINs have been violated and neither account health dashboard is giving any information.

I would really like guidance on reactivating my UK account and correcting the problematic ASINs. And I also feel my business in US CA marketplace should not be hampered for the other marketplace mistakes which I have not done intentionally. I thought there will good support from Amazon's end but I have not received any help or any information so that I can reactivate. Please check into this and help out. It will be best if a call can be arranged from your side to resolve this problem I am facing.

Your Amazon seller account has been deactivated in accordance with section 3 of Amazon's Business Solutions Agreement. Your listings have been removed. Funds will not be transferred to you but will stay in your account while we work with you to address this issue. Please ship any open orders to avoid further impact to your account.

Why did this happen?

We have deactivated your account because you created one or more ASIN variations that violate our ASIN Creation policies. Selling partners may not:

Change the product's detail page (parent or child) to become fundamentally different from the original product listed.

Change the parent product's detail page so it does not match the children.

Add incorrect child variations that are not true variations of the parent product.

Add multi-pack variations that are not manufacturer created to an already existing parent.

If you believe there has been an error, submit an explanation by following the guidance in the "Next Steps" column next to the policy warning on your Account Health page. Your explanation should include the following information: -- How you have not misused ASIN variations.

How do I send this information?

To reactivate your account, visit account health and click on the Reactivate My Account button to submit necessary information.

What happens if I do not send a sufficient explanation?

After 90 days following this notification, if you do not provide a valid appeal or choose not to appeal the deactivation, you may separately request a funds disbursement by contacting disbursement We will conduct a separate investigation to evaluate your account. If we find that you have engaged in deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; or have abused our systems or repeatedly violated our policies that protect our customers and selling partners, we may withhold some or all funds in your account.

Hi Ash!

I have been desperately deep diving into single products listed in the other MPs since all listings are unavailable in UK MP. I have created several POA justifying the Parent Child variation present is in compliance with ASIN Creation policy but every appeal have been denied with same template of response.It has been so long and I have been trying to find the root cause, trying to reach out seller support for assistance in reactivating the account. My US FBA products are stranded at the center and I am experiencing severe helplessness.

Please if anyone can reach-out and help me understand the root cause and how can I rectify, I will be much obliged.
