Product ASIN/EAN Error
First off, we use Channel Advisor to send our info across to Amazon. We are listing a product with an EAN 4007817053799 (and is colour Dolphin Grey) - in Manage Inventory its uploading against ASIN B07NLQTPH3. Only thing is the EAN associated with this ASIN is 4007817053751 and all the info is related to the same product, but in colour Violet. So one, we can’t work out why we are listing on that ASIN as the EAN doesn’t even match, and, thing is, we can’t change the barcode as the packaging of the product has the barcode on it - Amazon is incorrect. But they won’t change it, they refuse to accept they are wrong.
We had sold around 10 blocks of the wrong colour to customers one day and obviosuly only realised when we got the complaints in that it was the wrong colour. We couldn’t stop listing as that would mean we couldn’t request a change, so we’ve had to increase the price to stay on the listing, but still Amazon won’t change the listing in the face of clear evidence that the listing is wrong.
There is actually a listing for the Dolphin Grey colour, but that has another, completely different barcode, so we can’t even get onto that ASIN.
Anyone had this issue elsewhere (I imagine the answer is yes!) We’re thinking the next route is to speak to the manufacturer directly to see if they can speak to amazon.

“should be” yes.
This is 100% a mapping issue from Channel Advisor.

You should open a ticket with Channel Advisor as this is their fault or at least the issue was caused by their software linking your item to the wrong asin.

I don’t use Channeladvisor but I use a similar program
I always do the listing on Amazon itself, then create the product on my system, using the SKU amazon supplied me with as my SKU (which I then use across all selling platforms), when I come to my Amazon linking I tell them the ASIN.
Hasn’t messed it up yet, but then different system so not sure if it works the same.
Surely you can map to ASIN because sometimes on Amazon there are mutliple ASINs for the same EAN. so surely it doesn’t do eeny meeny miny mo?
