FBA Sales Pending and then Cancelled
We sell FBA and FBM on the very rare occasion (probably 1 in 100 sales) we’ll get a FBM sale that sits in pending for a week before being cancelled, but until recently this was never an issue with FBA…
In the last month we’ve had quite a lot (1 in 20) of FBA sales sit in pending for 7 days before being cancelled. Is this always an issue with payment? If so, why is effecting FBA more than FBM? This never used to be an issue.
Anyone have any idea why the sudden rise?

We have had a rise in FBM pendings sitting there for days. We had one in 12 months but recently we are getting up to 3 at a time in there for days, some eventually come through but most are being cancelled. I am hoping that the cancelling doesn’t damage our metrics in any way.

Same here ( FBM ) , noticed a large increase in pending orders ( and most being cancelled), compared to the odd one. Tried to ask seller support if there was an issue , but ive given up as responses were nothing to do with what I asked

if its just been happening on a certain lines it could be a competitor placing your items in the basket who is waiting to see if you sell out/stock levels etc. if they remain pending for 7 days amazon automatically cancel it it doesnt affect your metrics at all
