In the spirit of the giving season, we’re asking our Seller Forums members to share pearls of wisdom you’ve learned from other Amazon selling partners. Give the gift of knowledge this year and share your advice in Seller Forums for a chance to win 1 of 10 £100 Amazon gift cards! See Terms and Conditions.

Amazon EU Sàrl, 38 avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg, a Luxembourg entity (“Amazon”) is the promoter and prize provider of this competition. No purchase or payment required to enter or win. The promotion begins and ends on the dates and times specified in the linked announcement for the promotion (e.g., the post on Seller Forums, email, social media, and Seller Central). You must be a legal resident of the UK and 18 years of age or older to participate. Limit one entry per Seller Forums account. You must be an actively enrolled Amazon selling partner with a Seller Forums account. You may enter the promotion via one of the entry methods described. To participate, review the linked announcement for this promotion and follow the instructions to enter. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Our and our affiliates’ employees and their immediate family members, and associates enrolled in the Amazon Associates program are not eligible to participate.

Responses on this thread will be accepted until 9 December, 2024, at which point 10 respondents will be randomly drawn and awarded £100 in Amazon gift cards. We will notify the potential prize winners via their Seller Central account, and post the winner’s usernames on Forums. Potential winners will be notified as specified in the linked announcement for the promotion within 5 days of the end of the promotion, and once notified, you will have 72 hours to claim the prize. If the potential winner does not respond within 72 hours or if the potential winner is deemed ineligible prior to the prize being awarded, Amazon may, in its sole discretion, award the applicable prize to an alternate potential winner.

By entering the promotion, you agree that Amazon and its affiliates, the prize provider(s), and Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter, will have no liability, and will be held harmless from and against any liability or loss, including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, for all matters related to your acceptance, possession, experience with, use or misuse of the prize or participation in the promotion. You also agree to a release of any claims to intellectual property or proprietary knowledge that you choose to include in your response or submission to the promotion.

By entering the promotion, you consent to your Amazon Seller Forums username being shared publicly if you are selected as a winner. If the prize is an Amazon Gift Card (“GC”), each winner must have or will need to create an Amazon.co.uk account in order to redeem the GC. The GC may only be used for purchases of eligible goods on Amazon.co.uk or certain of its affiliated websites. The GC cannot be redeemed for the purchase of another GC. Except as required by law, the GC cannot be transferred for value or redeemed for cash. To redeem or view a GC balance, visit “Your Account” on Amazon.co.uk.

Amazon is not responsible if any GC is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission. If the GC is lost or stolen, it will not be replaced. The Amazon.co.uk Conditions of Use & Sale apply. See https://www.amazon.co.uk/gc-legal for complete terms and conditions. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time in our discretion. All terms and conditions are applicable to the extent permitted by law. No fees apply to Gift Cards. Gift Cards, including any unused Gift Card balances, expire ten years from the date of issuance.

Hi,

I recently got setup with a Royal Mail Business Account and have linked it with Amazon to allow me to purchase Tracked 24/48.

I had a question regarding the Tracked 48 parcel labels which are printed via Amazon Buy Shipping. I noticed at the bottom of the label, it shows 'customer reference, department reference and PO'. Is it normal for these not to be populated with any numbers? They are just blank.

Wrong Referral Fee Charges
by Seller_aSrfC96G43lBm
Amazon replied

Hi,

I am selling on Amazon over 10 years and I recently spotted a issue about the referral fee charges.

Some of the products I listed a long time ago and put them in the correct category (Home & Kitchen - 15%) have started getting charged Jewellery category fee - 20%. I haven't changed anything and interestingly these products are still in the Home & Kitchen category however the referral fee charge showing Jewellery ctaegory. I've attached two pictures to show details. I created a case and attached relevant spreadsheets and pictures but the response I am getting from Amazon is not helpful at all despite me explaining the issue with all the proof.

I just wanted to find out that if anybody had this issue too and did you be able to solve the issue?

Thank you in advance.

Hi, I'm a new seller to Amazon and had been told that our product has had a recall and Amazon requires the following documents:

Statement responding to the recall reason - must explain possible causes and show corrective actions; The provided one does not respond to the removal reason.

- Declaration of Conformity; - not all the applicable Directives and/or Standards are present in the DoC. The DoC provided is not complete. Please work with your supplier/manufacturer to provide an updated document. If you have more questions regarding the compliance of your products, some guidance is provided in Seller Central: https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/help.html/?itemID=GUH6FA4XSJ2LZFLY&referral=A2MWE81ZKIFFYG_ARSH0G9R3I25M&referral=A2MWE81ZKIFFYG_ARSH0G9R3I25M **WE are unable to match the provided DoC with the product as it does not bear any product identifier.

Reinstatement will be considered on UK MP only, as per the provided documents.

We haven't had any recalls with this product, because the only sales came from Amazon and we hadn't received any complaints.

I tried getting a reason for the "recall", but they wouldn't share this with me.

Could I have some advice on this, please?

Thanks :)

Amazon not following policy - Buy Shipping
by Seller_W0UadCH7lVBVG
Amazon replied

Dear moderators

Order ref 203-0237199-9139512

Case ref 10514622892

@Seller_iTgjdgiRqiPsn @Seller_DNQGSsdC7DccM @Seller_z3k8APxGfbQEK @Seller_TSXM2A5nxWSuH @Seller_fgtTzyHQfOM1x @Seller_XUNeUuvrQDpgP @Seller_gAhPNiLrkfTcr @Seller_VJ4XoAkjDpjPH @Seller_b91S9zQ2eKxLt @Seller_j9Bd91CW3ZVpr

Item sent using Amazon Buy Shipping.

Customer left negative feedback because there was an issue with the delivery service. Fair enough, however, inline with Amazon own policy, Sellers are protected against Negative feedback when a Seller purchases Amazon Buy Shipping.

https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/help/hub/reference/G200202220?locale=en_GB

See the attached screenshot of your own policy.

'Negative Customer Feedback: If you dispatch on time with tracking via Buy Shipping, and the buyer leaves seller feedback solely related to delayed or undelivered packages, you can request to have the feedback reviewed. If approved, the impact of the feedback is removed from your Order Defect Rate, and the buyer’s comment will be displayed with a strike-through and the statement: The fulfilment issues associated with this order were not due to the seller. '

So, moderators, as you have done for myself and others before, can you please research this and get this negative removed/struck through.

Thanks in advance

Using exisiting ASINS for new brand
by Seller_MgKpZYhgWZzLJ

We had been using the generic brand on all of our ASINS for a couple of years. We are now brand registered and are struggling to get the existing ASINS through. I am thinking that we need to submit a letterheaded statement informing that the brand 'Generic' allows the new brand to use these ASIN's.

If anyone can shed some light on this that would be appreciated.

Hi Everyone,

I've been going back and forth with support after a customer left a 1-star review meant for a product as a seller review. I'm really frustrated because I keep receiving the same template responses. To whoever monitors these forums, my case ID is 10504781712. I usually don’t come here to vent, but getting repeated, automated replies is incredibly infuriating.

I would appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with a human being who can address this issue and ensure that Amazon adheres to its own policies. "Frustrated" doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel right now!

Thanks, everyone hoping for some support, but so far, I'm not holding my breath!

Jayson

Courier feedback
by Seller_6A9BM76EEV5EG
Amazon replied

Hello

I have had a 1* and a 2* feedback the last couple of days to do with the courier

1. 'Parcel left in rain'

2. 'The parcel was delivered late evening which was OK but the courier did not ring the bell just dropped in the porch so we were unaware it had been delivered potential for it to have been stolen - people should at least ring the doorbell.'

I'm worried that these are going to kill my account next month and both feedbacks are completely out of my control. Is there anything that can be done or is it just a case of suck it up? Obviously cant help if the customer is out or if the courier didn't (or the customer didnt hear) the doorbell!

Sales way down on this time last year.
by Seller_0lQP368tpx7Wc

My sales both FBA and FBM over the last 2 months are 40% down on this time last year, is anyone else finding this dramatic drop. I have 100% buy box on the majority of my listings.

By the way, this forum is not half as good as it used to be, eg, there isn't a category to fit this post, I wonder why?

SAFE-T team playing God
by Seller_wwgX8SEHvSDvB

Has anyone else had experience of the ‘untouchable’ SAFE-T team? I was wondering if the following sounded familiar:

• Templated responses regardless of what you write.

• Refusal to engage in any kind of meaningful dialogue.

• Derisory compensation for customer damaged returns.

• No full refunds for customers returning the wrong item, which they didn’t even buy from you.

• Inability to complain about or escalate a claim outside of their team.

• Inability to complain about the team themselves.

• Refusal to adhere to their own policies, even when sent links.
