I do not have a credit card, only a debit card, can i still sell on amazon?

i have a bank account but have never wanted to have a credit card, it would seem that i might not be able to register properly if i dont have one. my parents have been helping me sell up to now but i want to be independent, please advise?

You dont need a credit card.

Are you at the same address as your parents? Are you selling the same products as your parents?

You will need to ask amazon permission to open 2 accounts at one address, if you dont then both accounts will be shut down permanently

In other words, a debit card is fine.

Thank you for using the Seller Discussion Forums.

In order to sell on Amazon you do need to have a valid credit card or debit card registered to your seller account. Your debit card must be associated with one of these major credit card companies: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or Diner’s Club.
Without a valid card registered to your account you will not have full access to it.

Thanks for your post.

You need to ensure that you have funds available on the card. We don’t charge your account but we do check for £1.00. If you have recently lodged money to the account it can take a little time for this to clear.
To force the system to re-validate your card you need to add the card details as if they are new.
It generally takes about 20-30 minutes for the system to verify the card details.

I have just created an account but I am restricted as it is saying my card is not valid even though it is a Visa Debit

I see this query has been answered by Jessica some time ago. I am in a similar situation. I have registered with a visa debit card. Despite following the instructions Jessica gave I cannot seem to get my account validated. Any advice as to where I am going wrong really appreciated!

Have you completed all the verification steps to get approval to open a selling account?

The card itself cannot be the issue if a visa debit card and you have funds in your account to cover a test charge?

If it is a problem with the card, then double check the details appear exactly as on the card and card number has no spaces.

I was selling for few years by linking Payoneer debit card. Now card expired and the card which i received instead of expired one isnt accepted by Amazon though its of the same type as previous one: Payoneer debit card. What can be a problem?

I believe Payoneer used to be accepted by Amazon but no longer. Perhaps someone can confirm?
