Dear Amazon moderators,
I’m reaching out to share a critical technical issue that has resulted in the deactivation of my Amazon UK Seller Central account and to ask for guidance from anyone who has faced something similar—or knows how to escalate it.
Here’s what happened:
Amazon’s system displayed the country code as RU (Russia) instead of KZ (Kazakhstan) in my Business Information section. This incorrect country code appears to have triggered automated sanctions filters, leading to the rejection of my identity documents without manual review.
On March 22, 2025, my account was deactivated due to “payment processing restrictions” under Section 3 of the Amazon Services Europe Business Solutions Agreement, but this appears to be a false flag caused by a technical misclassification, not by any actual violation or policy breach on my end.
I’ve contacted Account Health Support and received a standard response stating that the decision is final and not subject to appeal. However, I believe this case deserves reconsideration because: Kazakhstan is a sovereign and independent country, not under any sanctions similar to Russia.
The error is due to Amazon’s system assigning the wrong country code, which is beyond my control.
According to Section 14.1 of the Amazon Services Europe Business Solutions Agreement, Amazon should interpret decisions reasonably and in good faith, especially in cases where a technical platform issue causes incorrect enforcement.
I would deeply appreciate any advice from moderators or sellers, especially if there’s a way to request a manual verification review or submit a formal escalation.
