I have seen several threads that are related to this issue, but so far I have not seen any that relate to this specific issue.
We are a licensed brand reseller and we piggyback off other manufacturers' license agreement,s and in some cases, the manufacturers will agree directly with the brand to list our account as an official reseller. If there are any resellers with a similar set-up to ours, I would highly recommend taking this step to replace either creating a seller application or creating a case.
There are currently two brands that I am trying to list, Sonic the Hedgehog and Minecraft, both brands that I have listed in the past, but with different manufacturers. My seller applications for both was denied and I had to request the contracts between the manufacturer and the brand and that is where I face the issue.
Seller support is now stating that the contracts are not valid because they do not state that the brand has approved that the manufacturer can list the products under the EAN. I have tried several times to outline that the brand is not and will not add this to the contract because the contract strictly relates to the merchandising agreement. The EANs and the products belong to the manufacturer and I have the GS1 cert to support this. I always provide, the contract between the brand and the manufacturer, the LOA between the manufacturer and us, GS1 cert and real life images.
I have been going around in circles with the cases and I have been trying to list some products for 8 weeks if there are any other sellers here that have been able to get past this issue or MODS that can help in my support cases, I do not know what else to do other than keeping replying to support saying that I do not need to prove that the brand approved the EAN.
