We've been listening to feedback from our sellers, and we understand that for some, the image guidelines for Brand Registry applications can be challenging to navigate.

Brand approval application keeps getting rejected due to computer generated images but all my images are unaltered and taken with my phone.

We are updating the Brand Registry Application Guide, a step-by-step guideline that details the enrolment process through self-service registration, to include a new section on product image guidelines. (Located on pages 6 through 7).

We are also going to host an Ask Amazon session on image guidelines so that sellers will have the opportunity to connect directly with our Brand team experts. More details about this event will follow shortly.

Can't close account

I'm trying to close my Amazon seller account, but I'm unable to do so because the system keeps asking me to add a charge method. If I add a payment method, the account will continue to charge my bank card — even though I'm no longer actively using the account and don’t have a valid VAT number.

About a year ago, I began the VAT registration process in the UK through Amazon’s VAT services and fully paid all associated fees. However, I ultimately decided not to complete the registration, as I chose to pursue a joint venture with another entrepreneur and sell products together with him instead of selling products on my own. As a result, I no longer needed this seller account.

Unfortunately, I later discovered that my credit card had been charged monthly because there is one item in my inventory that couldn’t be removed, and the account was considered active.

Now I'm stuck in a catch-22 situation: I can’t close the account because I don't have a VAT number, and I can’t stop the charges unless I add a payment method — which would only allow Amazon to continue billing me. On top of that, I'm unable to even open a support case to resolve this.

I would appreciate any guidance on how to proceed.

Possible Royal Mail return scam

Hi,

Has anyone experienced Royal Mail tracked return but no package delivered? This was an old Ebay scam where customer changed return address to one in the same postcode and then returns an item of no value (stones, potatoes whatever), and keeps the goods.

We have a customer who claimed we sent the wrong colour item, (we didn't), he re orders, then requests a return. Tracking from RM says delivered, but we have no package.

He raises an A to Z stating we have not refunded.

I can only see this going in his favour and unless we knock on every door and find his package we're out £150.

Any thoughts on how to proceed?

Customer left feedback 1 out of 5 saying I had fraudulently advertised a book by saying I had described it as a specially numbered, signed copy, when I had done NO such thing. I asked for help from Seller Support who sent a AI generated message back saying it had been answered in less than 1 minute and case closed. Moderators will you message me PLEASE or would anyone tell me how to contact any moderator?

The nightmare of Listing Violations

At best the notification of product listings are random, one prduct is affected and another similar is not. Worst of all is that the reason for the listing violation is not accurate. As an example recently we suddenly had a dozen policy violations with the reason bullet point removed. How "handmade by cottage industries" can be a violation I do not know and the Amazon policy does not explain it either. So we changed the text to the Amazon suggested text on the edit inventory page to "Classic look and feel"and it was still marked as a violation

By a process of trial and error we removed some other words individually , but from other fields of the product inventory management page until the listing was restored. The eventual "culprit" was the word "quality" not in the bullet poont section at all that hd been highlighted as the problem.

It seems there are a number of words Amazon blindly bans. The include the words fine, quality, guarantee, simple, to name a few. Amazon get some common sense, update the listing policy page, and provide us with a dictionary of words to avoid,

What an absolute thief of time.

Trademark infringement

I am going round in circles regarding alleged trademark misuse. I sell Liberty fabric handmade products, have done for years no problem. Suddenly my listings are being flagged that I cannot use the phrase - made by Liberty fabric/ Liberty print ( this is totally legal by Liberty’s terms of use.)

I have opened a case and am just being told I cannot use the word Liberty, I have to be able to tell customers it is Liberty fabric being used. Anyone managed to get past this please?

Unfair Refunds!

we had a customer who wanted to return an item which was approved by amazon and they provided the return label to the customer the customer posted the item out and it was lost in the post we checked the tracking provided by amazon EVRI ITS BEEN SAYING ON THE WAY for the past 8 weeks we have not received the item back we asked the customer to contact the couriers as you are the sender customer filed a claim on amazon and they didn't even think twice and went on refunding the customer which is ridiculous we have not even received the item back and still they refunded if the item has not been delivered since jan 2025 we can expect that to be lost by evri such decisions made by amazon made us close our EU accounts with them we have lost our on £40.00 for item which we have not even received back UNFAIR DECISION !!!!!!!!!
