Hi Guys,
I am wondering if anyone else has the same issue below and if there is a good solution for it. Probably nothing and Amazon just want to get rid of us because we are not going FBA or Prime.
Suddenly, after years of selling on Amazon, we are having a huge wave of removed listings due to Trademark Logo Misuse. And High Risk of account deactivation for repeated policy violations. We sell original branded products like Knorr, Maggi, Dr Oetker, etc in different pack sizes/selection packs. The problem started with Amazon and their unhelpful Seller Support, who often don't understand the question/request in the first place. Many times when we introduced new products, we could not use the original EAN as there was a product already listed with that EAN, even tho the product we sell has the GS1 registered EAN number. Example Dr Oetker baking powder`s EAN was on an old inactive listing as a book. We just gave up with seller support after days and weeks of going in circles. They did not resolve the issue, or if they did something, it just went badly. They changed the name, but the attributes were for books and not for food items. Or the evidence we provided (which clearly stated the relation between the brand and the EAN) was not good for them. In the first attempt, we always try to list the products with the EAN from the producer of the product, if we can't get around, then we list the product with our brand name and EAN from GS1. Now, all of a sudden, all those listings are being removed.
Recently, there has always been something to stop us from listing new products with their original EAN.
- The EAN is not related to the brand. Gave all evidence, including a GS1 screenshot stating it is.
- There is no affiliation between the brand owner and us. Before the invoice from the wholesaler was accepted, they now ask for a letter from the brand owner. And completely randomly, the brands that were approved to sell already need approval, and then we go back to the beginning of this paragraph to close the circle.
- The EAN conflicts with the ASIN: xyz. This is when we list with that name and ask seller support to change the attributes, which never happens. Either they screw up someting or we go back to the first problem, creating a new circle.
The best was my most recent encounter with Seller Support. We sell Nestea already. Tried to introduce 4 new flavours, but they all ticked a box from the list above. Anyhow, I needed approval again to sell the brand Nestea, then as always they have asked for product images, and then they could not find the brand name on the product(Must be blind). So I have listed with our brand and EAN. a week later they removed the listing due to Trademark Logo Misuse.
