Hello Sellers, 👋

Another holiday season is approaching, and we want to open a discussion on a Quick Tip: Enable holiday mode.

Sellers in other stores shared with us feedback that when you go on holiday and activate holiday mode on your account, you currently have no way to communicate to your customers the date when you will be back in operation and it causes inconvenience for both you and your customers.

We would like to collect feedback from you, which will help us identify any necessary changes.

We want to hear from you on the following questions:

• How many times a year do you go on holiday and activate holiday mode on your account?

• What specific problems have you encountered in not being able to communicate the return date to your customers? Have there been complaints, loss of sales, or anything else?

• What alternative solutions would you suggest, in addition to the automatic message (e.g., notice on the store page, push notifications to customers, etc.)?

We would appreciate your insights!

Disguised Fee Increase - Digital Services Fee

Not sure if anyone else has noticed. The Reduction of the standard referral fee from 15.3% to 15% from beginning of Oct 24 was welcome, however this has been replaced with the digital services fee of 2% (for UK) on the fees charged to sellers. The net effect of this in one example I looked into this morning is that a reduction of £0.04 on referral fee but increase of £0.14 for the Digital services fee.

Make sure you adjust your prices accordingly because many products are low margins as it is. This increase in fees is disguised as a separation of fees but is actually an increase in the fee charged.

Abuse of power by Amazon

Amazon blocked our product, claiming that the document allegedly doesn't meet their standards, though it seems like only Bezos knows what those standards actually are. The useless support team hasn't been able to give a clear answer about what's wrong for three months. We showed this document to a specialist, and the exact same document works for other products, but not for this one. For three months, these salary-earning employees haven't been able to provide a simple answer on WHAT EXACTLY IS INCORRECT, giving us the same response every time: "it doesn't meet the standards."

They've essentially destroyed our successful product, causing us massive damage without explaining the reason. We're giving up because we've invested so much time and effort into both the product and the attempts to restore it that, in the same amount of time, we could have built a new successful business out of Amazon. But here, the result is zero! We're not expecting a miracle that suddenly a sensible person at Amazon will solve our problem; we just want to warn new sellers about what awaits them on Amazon if they create a best-selling product: permanent listing block and deactivation, and you’ll never even know the reason.

Hi everyone,

I just signed up as a new seller on Amazon Seller Central. My credit card is verified across all marketplaces (UK and EU), but I still can’t access anything. I keep seeing a pop-up window with the message "Invalid charge method".

Has anyone experienced this before, or can someone guide me on what steps I should take to make my payment method valid?

Happy Halloween! In the spirit of the season, we would love to hear from our selling partners a list of some of your favorite Halloween movies (and other spooky merriments)—in no particular order.

What's your go-to Halloween movie to watch this time of year? Any classic Halloween movies you always rewatch? Which movies give you the most chills? Or do you prefer comedies?

Aside from the classics which include The Shining, Exorcist, and Children of the Corn, there are great funny Halloween movies, like Beetlejuice, The Addams Family, Little Shop of Horrors.

I have really enjoyed Hocus Pocus, the 1993 Disney comedy. Hocus Pocus is darkly funny and the fabulous Bette Midler is always a treat to watch.

Hi,

I have just had notification today that one of my ASIN's is to be removed in 2 days due to 'The sale of unregistered novel food is prohibited on Amazon'

I am confused as to what this even means, we are selling a mushroom blend, they are very popular and there are 100's of listings for the same thing on Amazon.

Submitted an appeal but it says 5-7 days, in the mean time my listing it about to be removed!

What can I do?

I really am at my wits end with Amazon at the minute, why is there always new issues every week, i'm starting to give up. I'm now facing multiple issues, i sell printed t shirts...

Issue 1: Any listings that ive uploaded that are in multiple colours such as black and white, are giving me errors in the variation part when i go to edit listing, yet any t-shirts that ive put on as a single colour, i can edit those perfectly. See below

Yet this t-shirt below which is a single colour does not give any errors yet both are using the same data it makes no sense...

^ Does anyone know how to possibly solve this?

Issue 2: Amazon added care instructions to one of my best selling items which has now caused big drop in sales & over spending in ads, why would amazon decide to add 'Hand wash, Do No Tumble Dry, Iron Carefully' without even telling me? I did not have any care instructions entered so if amazon wanted me to add care instructions why didnt they suggest it to me rather than entering false information. The t shirt can be washed by any means, can go in the tumble dry, iron carefully is fair because you shouldn't iron over the print obviously, but why on earth would they add this? I know i can edit the listing and add my own care instructions (hopefully) which is what i'm trying to do but this reflects on my first issue because i'm getting errors in the variation tab for some reason. This isn't the first instance either on some of my other t-shirts theyve added Care Instructions: Do No Iron ... who's going to buy a t shirt that says do not iron in the description, it's ridiculous. I've been on to amazon seller support and asked them to remove it for me because i can't update the listing due to the variation errors and they said .. Before we can process and respond to your request, we need you to provide us with one of the following valid documents:

- Manufacturer's or Publisher's (for books) website URL clearly showing the suggested changes, along with visible product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.), if available.

- Manufacturer's catalog (Product User Manual), either scanned image of the physical catalog or PDF version showing the suggested changes, along with visible product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.), if available.

- A high-resolution photo of the item in its original packaging showing the product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, etc.) code and the attribute or attributes that you need to change.

Why should i have to go through this to get amazon to change false information that they have put there? It's a joke. I'm my own manufacturer and brand, i only sell on Amazon, so i don't have a website to show suggested changes, i don't have a catalog because my catalog is on amazon and i have a picture of the item in the package but what does ''attribute or attributes that you need to change.'' mean? So basically just put a sticker on my item with the correct care instructions and then amazon 'might' change it for me, no doubt they'd want more information anyway. It's ridiculous, amazon you added it there so you take it off and stop making me jump through hoops.

Issue 3:

These last 2 days ive had a few listing policy variations pop up saying bullet point removed, however when i check it's not actually removed any bullet points, these are the bullet points i use on every listing i have ....

  • Do Not Iron Over Print
  • All Prints Are Made Using The Latest DTF Technology
  • High Quality Print With Excellent Durability
  • Regular Fitted T-Shirt

^ also don't understand why it says its only removing bullet points from those 2 sizes yet not all the other sizes on that listing? and as you can see above it's not removed any bullet points, ive checked the bullet points in the parent listing and the child listings and there all the same as i have them, i used to have bullet points removed when i'd put 'Fast & Free Delivery' because you cannot put this due to amazon policy, but that bullet point was actually removed from the listings yet and when i changed it the violation dissapeared, yet this time it doesn't seem to be removing anything so what's going on? there's nothing wrong with those bullet points above is there? Did something recently change regarding bullet points i may have missed? I've had to delete 10 or so listings just to remove these Listing Policy Violations from the account health page.

We find ourselves embroiled in an exhausting saga with Amazon's account verification process for many months. Despite waging countless battles, submitting document after document, our account remains trapped in an endless limbo of "Pending Verification."

Primary contact's Country of citizenship and Country of birth is incorrect and could not be changed in the system.

As a result, the passport that we have submitted failed verification due to incorrect Country of citizenship and Country of birth.

Anyone can help? Thanks.

Have you ever find yourself in the need to change an attribute only to find that is locked, and the edit field greyed out? 🔒

Listings that are linked to your Brand registry have numerous attributes that can become locked after the listing initial creation, this makes it challenging to submit updates to your existing listings.

When this happens, the only option to update the listing is to delete the listing <<wait 24 hours>> and re-create it. The recommended method is to use feed templates to perform these actions.

  • Waiting for 24 hours allows the system to clear previous data and allow your listing to be re-created with fresh information/attributes.

I acknowledge that deleting and re-creating the listings is not the most convenient action you can take, but it can become a valuable resource when changing attributes is needed.

Have you ever faced a challenge with updating specific attributes? Do you have specific questions or doubts around this topic that I can support you with.

Hi all any help will be much appreciated in this case thanks in advance

my account was deactivated as they said they need an invoice for asin B0BZW36NHT as its an avon lipstick i had an invoice on my account sent them to them then received a message back its not enough info so i went on live chat and they said to resend them which i did received the same message i contacted avon about getting an invoice sent to my home address which they said they dont do - i think this lipstick has been reported by another seller selling the same item to be honest any help on getting account reactivated would be much appreciated thanks all
